2007 Trip

On March 23, 2007 47 people left Canada for an adventure of a lifetime. After a five hour flight, a five hour layover, and another six hour flight we were in Quito Ecuador. Bright and early the next morning we started on our long bus ride to Bahia. This trip normally takes eight hours. Twelve and a half hours, two flat tires and a bit of a detour later we were in Bahia.

The next 2 weeks were described by some as life changing and an unbelievable humbling experience as we worked in and around the Bahia community.

The Foundation has only grown stronger with the involvement of these community members. The experience has touched the individuals and made them believe in the importance of the Foundation’s initiatives.
